NORWOOD SCHOOL

As part of the improvements in the SEN department of Norwood school, funded by the PTA we were commissioned to facilitate a workshop with 40 school children based around our practice of mindful drawing as a way to encourage ideas around how to generate a calming environment, what positive thoughts we can focus on and what makes us feel better.  Co creating the final design for the artwork by incorporating words, imagery and pattern inspired by the work created in the workshop we created a mural within the classroom with the words ‘Let Go’ with spray paint. Hoping to create a sense of peace, focus and mindfulness we utilised the schools’ colours in pastel form to entice a feeling of calm amongst the students on entering the room.
